In this blog i will be looking at certain podcast layouts this is how the podcast is structured this is how it all links together to make have a professional end results.
Sponsors are main income for some podcasts this allows them to make money off their show and to keep it running from many years to come the podcast starts with an intro about the company who are a sponsor for this podcast the person who owns the podcast often reads out a script they have been provided by the sponsor and have pre-recorded which is then played at the start of every podcast the company are sponsored for.
However like the RoosterTeeth Podcast the host often reads the script again half way threw the podcast again or once every thirty minuets to give the audience more of a push to buy the product also the podcast crew have this product for free so they provide their own feedback so it doesn't look like they have been paid to say such good things even though that is the case.
Recorded interviews are used in the case that the host is not able to get a guest or that it is a more simpler use of audio so the podcast is presenter based this often requires other members of the podcast crew to go out and interview the public or a certain member they need answers from and then the podcast is cleverly structured to which the host seems to be interviewing a guest even though the answers are pre-recorded.However the presenter often says lines such as "we spoke to such a person" indicating that they are pre-recorded answers.
Sound bytes are segments of mp3 files this often used as sound effects or intro music to start and and end the podcast these sound bytes are either royalty free meaning they don't have to pay for usage or they are originally made for this specific podcast so it is used for this company and can claim copyright for this music.
