In the following blog i will be analysing one of the most liked and common podcast on the internet maybe by an independent company who make web-shows and short movies this is of course the RoosterTeeth podcast.
The RoosterTeeth podcast is a comedy podcast made by the employees at the famous web-show company in Austin,Texas. This podcast has current employees of the company on each week however it varies from the many departments that the company has. It is a group presented podcast ranging from four to five members this can some times change to three members if they are short on time.
During the podcast there are two main members who are in charge of the podcast to keep it going smoothly and to report any problems to the other members of staff the other members on the podcast are there as guest.
The subject of the podcast mainly revolves around current events making it a permeant present podcast however with keeping up with current events they also talk about the most current work at the company this could be either new web-shows or return or current shows.
The cast members also talk about their own lives and current events that is effecting them as well as upcoming company events with mention of the fans in which they have an application to have message from fans / tweets as they use twitter furthermore the podcast is recorded but if you are a sponsor to the web site the podcasts are live and can be streamed threw the website they also can be watched as the podcast are also video podcasts.
The subject often changes into inappropriate jokes and random conversations about random topics which makes the audience laugh the podcast is fairly subjective as the podcast is more open to opinions about subjects rather then facts.
On the other hand when talking about current news events facts are discussed at a length but this does not change the opinions of the cast members the podcast is more subjective then object meaning that the opinions of the cast members super seed the facts this some times cause furious conversation to start which the fans listen to often get into if the podcast is live.
The fans are a main priority to RoosterTeeth they often get fans involved in there conversations by asking them questions or asking them to "tweet"them about the current subject.
One final feature of the RoosterTeeth podcast is they play a game with a certain employee in which they ask him questions about a subject and then they ask the search engine Google the same question the response are some what bizarre and strange the result however ever is always hilarious .
The point of the game is to wonder who said it Google or the other person this game is cleverly called
"Gavin or Google"
