A moral panic is a situation in which when some one famous in the media industry creates a panic on something that is morally wrong. with the media or tabloids finding this is immoral situation they then in turn sell the story to companies which is released to the public making it a panic. therefore making a moral panic.
An example of a moral panic is that currently in the media at this time there is a situation with Miley cyrus doing a sexual type of dance in front of another celebrity at an a award show.
This has scared parents with teenage daughters or younger as they think watching this will cause them to act like this therefore making them degrade themselves into something similar to what she has done.
